2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Release Date

2019 Toyota Corolla  spying for the first time

It seems Toyota is working hard to develop next generation Auris hatchback. One of our spy photographers photographed some pictures of a new economy car that handled some light twist. If you’re wondering why you should care about a Toyota you’ve never heard of, the reason is you’ve heard of Corolla iM’s American-badged cousins, who share the current Auris platform and most of its style. The Corolla sedan is unique to the U.S. market.

Toyota released a Corolla hatchback that is in progress in 2012 as Auris. The car crashed into the US market as a Corolla iM which is basically just an Auris with a different badge on it. Although recently, the US model will see major redesigns in the near future. The car is likely to hit the  2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback market, and it should be an entirely new vehicle. So far the details are still rare, but it seems this new model will still be based on the European model. This time though, the car will not use the new Toyota New Toyota architecture.

Instead, they should base it on their brand new TNGA architecture. This modular design will likely mean the upcoming Corolla will get a longer wheelbase and wider path. In addition, the car should be lighter and more rigid. A better NVH rate would be a direct result of it while the car should also be better ridden.

2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Design

In view of these spy photos, the new Auris/Corolla iM is surely a development of the present design. It has a nose and a wedge-y profile, as well as a sharp and acute angle throughout the body. Some of the cues have been exaggerated. The headlights in particular are already stretched almost to the center of the car. There probably will not be much lattice between the lights. Instead, there may be a large enough grille in the bottom bumper to handle all the cooling tasks. The grille also has a unique style to it.

Moving to the side, the greenhouse has changed significantly. The triangle motif on pole D is completely gone. Beltline is also now kicking towards the back and not a perfect horizontal stay. The rear axle has a steeper front rake, which helps make the car look lower. We do not know many features of the hatch itself, but the taillights seem to have small boomerang hooks at the far end.

Unfortunately, Toyota has not released an official image for the 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback future. Even so, they started testing the car some time ago, so we have some spy shots from the test mules. Looks like the new model will indeed have a longer wheelbase, and it seems also will be wider. This sedan is quite impressive, but the hatchback should be the more impressive of the two.
The car will feature a very different design that is likely inspired by Toyota’s latest sedan. Up ahead, we should see a much more aggressive cue with a more direct design. The backside will likely get a slightly more aggressive angle for the truck so the car can compete with the sporty hatchback on the market. The biggest difference is the rear quarter window shift that will reduce visibility, but Toyota let Toyota give the roof a car.

2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Interior

This ongoing model has an interior that is very similar to their other vehicles. In fact, most of Toyota’s cars now have dashboards that are roughly the same as those that are not ideal. We expect future 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback will not travel the same route. Some say the car may get design cues from the new Camry. However, this still means the car will be similar to its predecessor. Some say that the Prius may be the future, but so far nothing has been confirmed. The biggest change inside will likely be the available space that will be far superior in the new hatchback.

2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Powertrain

The US version of the car is currently available with a 1.8 liter naturally naturally aspirated plant. This is likely to change in the near future. The basic model of the new car can get a nice 1.2-liter turbo-four for about 120 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. It’s less than an old naturally aspirated engine. However, the turbo should provide a better response and a much better fuel economy. In addition, the higher end car version will probably receive a new 1.5-liter turbo engine. There are rumors out there that say that Toyota has been secretly cooperating with BMW for this machine. It should be capable of generating more than 150 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque while as efficient as a smaller factory. Both will likely use the manual as a standard while automated, perhaps dual-clutch, can be available as well.

2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Release date and price

As before, the car will remain a front wheel hatchback with average size. However, major changes will be available machines. The new model of the Corolla hatchback should come with a much more efficient engine than its predecessor. So far not much is known about the price. Even so, it looks like the new Corolla may be slightly more expensive than its predecessor. This allows them to offer more safety devices and better standard features without sacrificing value for money. The big drawbacks we see with cars should be their release dates. Now looks like a new Corolla which is still at least two years away which is a bit late considering the competition.

Now even though we get Auris in the U.S. as Corolla iM, there is no guarantee it will be back for second generation. Not much news about the hatchback since it changed its name from Scion to Toyota. We reached out to Toyota to see if Corolla iM had a future in America, and the company did not comment on the car.
