2019 Audi A6 Exterior
2019 Audi A6 Reviews
• Sharp Outside Style Takes After A7 New
• Larger Singleframe grille
• Reshaped Headlight Housings
• Larger Exterior Dimensions
• Brushed Metal Details Everywhere
• Aero-Efficient Design
• Dynamic Turn Signals
• 14 Paint Options
In terms of exterior aesthetics, the 2019 Audi A6 takes its cues from the new A7 Sportback and A8, which use the latest styling language of this brand as originally poured by the Audi prologue concept which debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2014. The new Audi A6 builds on the previous styling model with sharper lines, harder corners, and stronger details, and although this styling is not a total reboot compared to outgoing models, it’s still different enough to warrant the “all-new” label. the brand gave it, and that is something unusual we get from Audi.
Up front, the first thing you notice is the brand characteristic of the Singleframe grille, which dominates the fascia thanks to the thick luminous metal that surrounds and the horizontal divider line. Compared to the previous year’s model, the 2019 A6 grille looks slightly wider and shorter, increasing the visual thickness of the car in the process. Housing lights are also reshaped, and now get a flat view plus clear edges and lines as compared to slightly more rounded houses found on outgoing models. Buyers can get them with an optional LED HD Matrix lighting element if desired, while a standard daytime running light extends elongated in front of housing. The lower side intake on the bumper is also new, and it looks smaller and more sporty than the previous model’s intake, complementing the spoiler’s smooth front chin. Windshield wipers can blend with a washing machine.
Moving to the side of the vehicle, we found a rather handsome sedan profile, which is typical for German brands. There is a long line of veils, while the roofline pushes toward the tail in a sporty and leaning way forward. Long axis distance, while short overhangnya. Spherical fender flares on the back give the car a little extra visual muscle. A brushed metal surround makes it classy around the window.
When viewed from the rear, 2019 A9 looks quite wide indeed, with horizontal rear lights sweeping from the fenders and into the trunk. Additional chrome details and highlights can be found throughout, including the strips that connect the back lights. Dynamic backlash using backlight graphics, while a sticky curved stick cap is added for optimal aero purposes. Audi even claims A6 achieves 0.24 drag coefficient, which is right up there with efficiency-oriented models like the Tesla Model S and Toyota Prius. The aero modified car package also keeps him cool.
The buyer gets 14 different paint options to choose from, including the newly added seven colors for the 2019 model year. Further adjustment options can be made with a variety of sport and exterior design packages, as well as a more aggressive S line package.
It should also be noted that the A6 is most definitely not a small car, especially when it comes to the larger fifth-gen vehicle, which has sizes in every dimension. The total length now reaches 16.2 feet, up 7 mm compared to the outgoing model. 2019 Audi A6 also has a width of 6.2 feet, an increase of 12 mm, and height 4.8 feet, 2 mm higher than before.

2019 Audi A6 Reviews Release Date
- New Interior Design Looks Great
- Multiple Touchscreens Replace Hard Buttons
- High-End Materials Throughout
- Latest Infotainment And Safety Tech
- High Level Of Connectivity
- Premium Audio From Bang & Olufsen
- 18.7 Cubic Feet Of Cargo Room In Back
Just like the exterior styling, the 2019 Audi A6 interior turns it into a nice one compared to the exit model. While the cabin still emphasizes Audi’s passion for horizontal design, the dash and center console are completely new, with a myriad of keys and hard buttons replaced with touch-sensitive screens. We think the inner black panel looks fantastic, and does it well to give the interior a cleaner and yet more high-tech look that blends it with traditional wood panels stretching from door to door. Good up front, Audi.
The controls are tilted toward the driver a bit to offer easier operation. There is also a new chair design, which offers features like optional ventilation and massage functions. In addition to wood, aluminum complements the list of materials for the interior, striking with an automatic transmission lever in the central tunnel.
Now let’s get into the new touch panel we just talked about. The display is on top of the 10.1-inch diagonal dashboard, and offers controls for the MMI navigation system (much more). Just below it is a 8.6 inch screen on the center console, which is used for climate control, text input, and other comfort functions.
Go for the MMI navigation plus package, and you’ll find a third screen just behind the wheel. Nicknamed Audi’s virtual cockpit, this is basically a 12.3-inch digital readout that replaces traditional analogue gauges, which provide vital signs like road speed and navigation instructions. There is also a head-up display that can project more info onto the windshield.
Audi A6 Powertrain
2019 Audi A6 Reviews Release Date
• Standard Lightweight-Hybrid System across the Line
• Option A Diesel and A Gas
• U.S. Will Only Get Gas Option
• Standard Quattro AWD
• Differential Sport Available
• Automatic Transmission of Seven Speed and Eight Speeds
• U.S. Possible to Only Get Seven Speed Option
The big news in the drivetrain department is undoubtedly the fact that every engine configuration in the 2019 Audi A6 gets the help of a lightweight hybrid as standard. By using alternator starter belts and lithium-ion batteries, this set-up can recover energy up to 12 kW in deceleration, which according to Audi can generate as much as 0.7 liters of gas per 100 km.
Further efficiency improvements include a glide function between 34 mph and 99 mph, as well as a start-stop function that works at speeds up to 13.7 mph and will be predictive of starting the engine once the car in front begins to move thanks to the onboard A6 range. sensors.
In Europe, engine options include one diesel powerplant and one gasoline powerplant, both of which get quattro AWD as standard. The gas burner consists of 3.0 liter TFSI V-6, which is emitted turbocharged to produce 340 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Mated to a seven-speed S-speed automatic transmission, the A6 will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. It also provides a combined fuel consumption of up to 35.1 mpg thanks to Audi’s Ultra technology, which disables the rear-wheel drive to run more efficient FWD configurations.
Next is an oil burner, which also gets three liters of displacement, six cylinders, and a turbocharger to its name. This output is about 286 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque, all of which are directed to the ground via an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and a self-locking center differential. Fuel results up to a combined 43 mpg.
While Audi has not released a specification for the U.S. engine-bound configuration, we almost certainly only get the petrol engine option. After the initial release, we can get some other four and six cylinder options as well.
And since the A6 is considered a luxury luxury sedan, it gets an optional sport option for the rear axle, which is integrated with adaptive suspension system (if equipped) and attenuation for a more entertaining handling experience.
Audi A6 Chassis And Handling
2019 Audi A6 Reviews Release Date
• New Tweak Suspension Boosts Ride
• Steel and Aluminum For Construction
• All-Wheel Steering makes it more agile
• Wheel Size Up to 21 inches in diameter
• Available Sport Handling Packages
To go with all the aesthetic equipment changes, the 2019 A9 also gets some updates on hard parts under the skin. Audi claims the new A6 is more sporty than previous models, while also offering “improved ride comfort and noise,” mostly thanks to some well-executed chassis suspensions and chassis.
The engine bones are made of steel and aluminum, the right thing to keep them stiff and light. And, if you do not know, stiffness and lightness are essential for how a car handles and feels on the road, both from comfort and performance perspective. For that, more aluminum is used for doors, caps, luggage and fenders, plus a good alloying number for suspension components, such as brake calipers fixed in front and front buffer pockets.
The A6 offers four distinct sets of suspensions, including basic steel springs, a more rigid sport suspension, enhanced damper control, and top-of-the-line adaptive air suspension with controlled damping.
2019 Audi A6 also comes with all-wheel steering, with rear wheels spur to 5 degrees. When traveling at low speeds, the rear wheels will rotate in the opposite direction of the steering wheel, which helps reduce circular circles as far as 3.6 feet, down to 36.4 feet overall. At higher speeds, the wheel spins in the same direction as the one ahead, improving stability and comfort when you need it most.
Speaking of turning the wheel, the 2019 A6 is equipped with a standard progressive steering system, with ratios varying between 9.5: 1 and 16.5: 1. The higher the steering input angle, the more responses you get to the direction of change.
Finally, the A6 gets a larger wheel this time – up to 21 inches in diameter, with the tire size rated at 255/35. And if you really want the Audi you feel like being on a rail, go to the S line of sports package, thrown with 19-inch wheels and the more rigid sport suspension we’ve mentioned.
