2018 Bentley Bentley takes what you think you know about physics, comfort, and speed, and quickly sets a new high watermark for each.

Looks alone does not tell the story of 2018  Bentley Bentley.

From the outside, the car’s first SUV appeared to match the stable coupe and high-quality luxury sedan. From the inside, Bentayga delivers the same Continental luxury and several ceremonies from Mulsanne.
Start twin-turbo, 600-horsepower W-12 and forget it all. Bentayga blends abundant speeds with excessive skin and wood in a way we’ve never seen before. Its construction takes 130 hours-six times longer than the average car – and features one of the largest aluminum pieces in the car business.

This year, Bentayga has not changed much from last year. A new third row is available, and an available display package adds a chrome layer-if that’s what you want. A Mulliner specification, added last year, takes Bentayga to new luxury altitudes worth hundreds of thousands above the startling $ 229,000 starting price.

Little things add up in Bentayga. An air suspension is required to suppress road imperfections but also features an active anti-scroll bar system that makes Bentayga so flat to cornering that engineers should reopen it immediately.
Automatic 8-speed seamlessly fades into the background but manages to offset the throttle so that it is free of regulation between the driver and the engine we call it laissez-faire.

Elegant and elegant, the first SUV from Bentley managed to see the house next to the coupe or sedan.

Inside, the cabin is flooded with fancy materials and layouts. The cockpit is clearly focused on the driver, with some features like a fat shifter and piano stop ventilation control instantly recognizable to current Bentley owners. Bentayga is usually configured for a five-seat although it can be determined to sit four or up to seven this year.

2018 Bentley Bentayga Performance

The 600-horsepower Bentleyga Bentleyga W-12 does not follow the same physical laws as all of us.

Bentley has big plans for powertrain Bentayga, but not this year.
For 2018, Bentley Bentayga stands with twin-turbocharged W-12 which makes power 600 horsepower and torque of 664 pound-feet. It marries an automatic drive and a 8-speed steering wheel that drives the SUV 7,155 pounds to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds.

Right. It is a heavy heavy-duty pickup truck that runs up to one mile per minute faster than many sports cars.
Almost as impressive as the speed of Bentley who handled it. The standard air suspension system in all four corners made Bentayga very flat like its corners-the engineers had to call the system back because it was allegedly too unnatural. Bentayga got a perfect performance score from us for breaking the laws of physics is still special for us.

Future plans for Bentayga include a plug-in hybrid or Supersports edition, but not yet. For now, we’re going to do it with a 6.0 liter V-12, which has a previous Bentley displacement plant, but not much else. The compact engine is sandwiched into Bentayga’s nose and just utters its incredible weight under hard braking or hard acceleration.

If not, Bentayga helps passengers and drivers to forget about their speed (or profane?). According to the automaker, Bentayga’s throttle mapping assumes a sophistication level from its rider that Bentley does not turn off the pedal at all to break down its 600 hp. Instead, all 600 hp comes with a deep throttle-puncture every time. It’s loud enough to make the neck of the passenger in the afternoon, or make the driver smile repeatedly. Ask how we know.

Thankfully, the interior of Bentayga is truly magnificent. Starting from an average score of 5, Bentley gets points for a good front seat and rear seats, cargo space too much, as well as details on the skin.

If by looking at Bentayga you take some similarities with the new Audi Q7, you miss your call as an automotive industry expert. You will also be absolutely accurate; Both share similar structures underneath – and that’s good.
Both SUVs ride on the same axle, although the Bentayga path is slightly wider. Front seat passengers have identical leg room with Q7, but the Bentley rear seats are wider than Audi with rear passengers getting an additional 2 inches of leg room-at least on paper. In fact, the larger Bentley 22-seat lined seat goes into the leg room and makes the space feel smaller. First world problem.

For 2018, Bentley offers Bentayga in a three-line configuration, similar to Q7. Audi’s third line is a matter of children only, and the car seat does not fit back there (in-laws are a different story). We have not been in a stalemate of Bentayga, so we can not report the available location. We will update this story after we spend more time at Bentley.

In a 4 + 1 configuration, Bentayga holds a cargo of 15.2 cubic feet with pass-through for long items such as skiing or 17.1 cubes with a second row bench.
The rear cargo area can be trimmed with a custom-made picnic basket, champagne cooler, or padded padded bench to watch the Hunger Games – the real thing, not the movie.

Mulliner-trimmed Bentaygas featured a veneer-trimmed picnic table, lambswool carpet, and contrasting inner sutures that were not available on Bentaygas’s “normal” -if it was anything.

Every surface of Bentayga is carefully considered, but rather busy. The solid Bentley shifter drew attention to the center console, and the mix of wood, black trim, and leather stitches around the cabin doused the elegance, but without restraint.
