2019 Toyota RAV4 Redesign Reviews

The redesigned 2018 Camry has a moment in the spotlight, but there’s another Toyota waiting for its turn, poised to attract attention and the entire car sales title.

The Camry has been Toyota’s best-selling vehicle for more than a decade, but the RAV4 passes the sedan in sales for the first half of 2017, and the crossover can claim sales titles for 2017 and beyond. Given the new 2018 Camry car we call “brave and courageous” after driving – we look forward to what the next generation of next-generation RAV4 car makers will be up to. Before 2019 Toyota RAV4 debuted, this is what the crossover can offer.

2019 Toyota RAV4 Engine Specifications

2019 Toyota RAV4 may be powered by a more powerful four-cylinder engine without a turbocharger. Toyota has rejected the four-turbo trend we’ve seen across the industry, and in the Camry, the conventional half-cylinder-sucked six-cylinder engine produces 203-206 hp and 184-186 lb-ft of torque. The RAV4 currently produces 176 hp and 172 lb-ft of 2.5-liter I-4 mated to a six-speed automatic; Expect more power and eight-speed transmission in 2019 RAV4.
With an increase in power approaching what the 2018 Camry has to offer, the next RAV4 can be a little faster.

We have tested the 2017 model front-drive model that reaches a speed of 60 mph in 9.3 seconds and the 2016 all-wheel-drive model reaches 60 in 8.7 seconds. It’s not a bad time for a reasonable crossover, but let’s say the Honda CR-V 2017 all-wheel-drive with a 1.5 liter turbo-four will reach 60 mph in 7.5 seconds and is still one of the more efficient options . In that popular segment.

Will we see the return of six-cylinder RAV4? Do not rely on it. In addition to the basic four-cylinder model, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 hybrid model is likely to come back, to counter the Rogue hybrid and the introduction of a CR-V hybrid that has been rumored to be coming to the US soon (this goes on sale in China later this year).

2019 Toyota RAV4 Better Fuel Economy

Toyota RAV4 2019 will be more efficient, and we suspect this will perform well in our real-world-oriented Real MPG test as well. RAV4 2017 is EPA-rated at 23 / 29-30 mpg city / highway with front-wheel drive and 22/28 mpg with all-wheel drive. Hybrids currently only present with all-wheel drive and rated 34/30 mpg. In the Real MPG test, the RAV4 Hybrid has no problems over its EPA highway number, and the non-hybrid all-wheel-drive RAV4 turns on the Real MPG number slightly above its EPA number as well.

2018 Toyota Camry with four-cylinder engine rated EPA-28/39 mpg with a higher volume and, for the new RAV4, we expect an improvement from its 2017 EPA number.

The (TRD) Sport Variant

Before the next-generation RAV4 now say goodbye, the 2018 model introduces a new trim level. 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure (shown here) combines some visual upgrades with Top Prep packages for different combinations of other RAV4 but not many. As Toyota continues to drive a specially prepared Ramp4 version and increase the range of its TRD subrang, the next generation RAV4 can see the introduction of the TRD Sport RAV4 series or just other RAV4 Adventure models.

2019 Toyota RAV4 Interior

One of the best features of RAV4 today is how much space the crossover offers to people and cargo. Open up the liftgate, and you may be surprised at how much space RAV4 has to offer. We expect the 2019 RAV4 movement to the new TNGA architecture will not change it significantly.

Toyotas has often been nice about keeping the drivetrain’s dagger in the backseat to a minimum, which enhances the impression of spaciousness, and we do not expect to change this new model.
When we drove the 2018 Camry (which turned to the TNGA architecture), we said it was “big, open, and airy” despite having less fractional back and shoulder space.

Those with RAV4 may notice the RAV4 Platinum model loaded as they roll over the road with their monochromatic paint scheme replacing contrasting black styling elements in most other RAV4s. In addition to a more polarized design, the RAV4 2019 will also offer a more premium experience for those who want a Platinum trim.

In addition to rear seat ventilation, the new RAV4 Platinum – if the trim it survives into the new generation – will likely include features from the Camry 2018 selection list such as panoramic glass roofing, color head-up display, and rear cross- RAV4 traffic braking is currently offerin g LED lights, a full range of active safety technologies, and a multicamera parking system. No matter trim, we think RAV4 functional interiors will benefit from a refreshed design on the next gene model (a Limited shown here)
