2018 Toyota 4runner Overviews
Toyota 4Runner remains relatively unchanged after a comprehensive update in 2014 that aligns it with its pickup truck cousin Tacoma. We expect this trend to continue until 2018.
As a carryover, we expect no change in the look of this body-on-frame SUV. This should not be a big deal, because, 4Runner still looks modern and unique. Along with the looks, we also expect the standard exterior features remain the same, including projector headlights, fog lamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Like the exterior, we expect the 4Runner cabin to continue without major changes. We anticipate neatly collecting dashes that are rugged yet stylish to continue unchanged, and the same applies to enough space. Standard interior features on the current base model include fabric upholstery, keyless entrance, five 12-volt outlet, AC power outlet, Entsey audio system eight speakers with 6.1-inch touch screen, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Power window and Door locks, and 10 cup holder.
Also expected to do unchanged is a 4.0-liter V6 engine under its awning. This powerplant currently produces 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque – we expect this specification to be carried as well. This machine will continue to mate with a five-speed automatic transmission that ships power to the rear wheels as standard or all four wheels as an option.
Despite getting a “Good” rating from IIHS in four of the five crash test categories, 2017 4Runner received a “Moderate” rating in a small overlapping test. In addition, there is no automatic emergency braking, unlike many other Toyota vehicles. It does, however, have a standard rearview camera. In addition, buyers choose Limited trim to get standard front and rear parking assist sonar.
Expect fuller review closer to launch.

2018 Toyota 4runner Price & Release Date
2018 Toyota Runner is expected to start production in August 2017. Currently we anticipate the sales date in November. Based on our analysis, agreement on outgoing models tends to be very rare. In some cases, Toyota may offer low APR financing or simple cashback incentives by year-end models.
The official price of 2018 4Runner is not yet available, but we expect little or no change upon entering the 2018 model. As a reference, 4Runner currently starts at $ 35,150 and is at the top of $ 45,500 (including destination costs).
One important detail is an un-advocated incentive called Keep It Wild Discount, which varies according to trim and acts as a default savings. It costs $ 500 on SR5, $ 750 on the Premium model and $ 1,000 at Limited. Based on the recent order guides, it seems that Toyota will be transporting it over the year 2018.
In this range, 4Runner competes with Dodge Durango ($ 31,785 to $ 43,190), Nissan Pathfinder ($ 31,230 to $ 44,700), and Jeep Grand Cherokee ($ 31,390 to $ 67,890).
