2018 GMC Canyon Denali Release Date
2018 GMC Canyon Overviews
Last year, GMC Canyon received a new V6 engine, an eight-speed transmission, and a new Denali version, so we believe the fresh pickup will continue through 2018 without any significant changes.
The body of the Canyon still looks sharp when compared to the others in the middle class pickup class, so there’s no need for major updates here. The same goes for the interior, where everything is done and put together well.
No major changes are expected standard features. So, this search remains the same as in 2017, including air conditioning, upholstery and flooring, four-way power driver’s seat, power window, rear-view camera, and six-speaker audio system with 4.2-inch screen. While the basic model is utilitarian, there are more features as buyers work their way up to trim levels, especially in fully populated Denali.
In the powertrain section, we expect nothing to change. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder cylinder with 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque. Buyers looking for more power get the 3.6 liter V6 with 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque.
For those looking for more crane power and savings, there is a 2.8 liter four-cylinder turbodiesel with 181 hp torque and 369 lb-ft of torque. Also remaining is the transmission, which will include a six-speed manual with a base engine, eight-speed auto with V6, and six automatic acceleration with diesel.
The IIHS has not yet finished testing the Canyon 2017 for security, but earned an overall four-star rating from NHTSA, which consists of four-star frontal impact safety ratings, five-star safety ratings, and a three-star rollover rating. There are no high-end safety features in this pickup, because the only options include front collision and lane warning. No automatic emergency braking.

2018 GMC Canyon Price & Release Date
Canyon 2018 is set to begin production in July 2017, which brings us to expect the August release, like its Chevrolet Colorado cousin.
We do not expect major changes in the 2018 model price when compared to the current Canyon price structure, which starts at $ 21,935 and tops $ 44,265 (including destination costs).
GMC likes loyalty bonuses and conquering leases, as well as a percentage of MSRP, and we expect this to continue when the 2018 model launches.
