There was a real muscle under the metal sheet filled with steam. CTS has seen an avant-garde in his point of view; The V-Series model turns it into a monstrous with unconscious trim, domed hood, and wide tires that look like they need a separate area code.

The cockpit is screened alongside the cutting edge theme, both futuristic and quiet with low trim and high resolution screen. The seats get a big bolt wrapped in smooth and smooth skin and cute suede. Want more strengthening? Redesigned seats on the option list should be performed. They are some of the best thrones possessed supersedan.

2018 Cadillac CTS – V Performance

Cadillac CTS-V lowers high speed without high performance
Design is not a CTS-V calling card. Performance is. In fact, the performance actually moves the display.

CTS-V quickly beat the heart is a transplant from the Chevy Corvette. This is a V0 8 version of the Z06 supercharged 6.8 liter. This is a lent superstar, which requires only a few changes to fit a smaller Cadillac machine palette (replaced oil pans, for one).

Welcome with open fenders. CTS-V shouts along with 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque, catapulted it to 60 mph on a charred earth of 3.7 seconds. Top speed pin needle at 200 mph; Testing on your personal runway, seems to be a challenge.

An 8-speed, fast automatic shift automatically handles all shifts. This is a home item that is also incorporated into Z06, but Cadillac does not sit behind as a transaxle. It is paired with the back of a longitudinally mounted engine. With full manual operation, 8-speed paddle through torque avalanche without moving smoothly. Before you ask: no, no manual.

Shock waves crashing into the rear wheels require some enhanced suspension hardware. CTS-V got a 20 percent stiffness increase through shock-tower bracing, stronger insulation, and V-shaped braces. It also sported Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires with staggered wheels (9.5 inches wide in front, 10.5 inches behind), all on behalf of gripping almost 1g of lateral acceleration. The semi-exotic tire gave CTS-V its stunning hold, and its gradual release at its limit.

The electric power of ZF is a revelation here, with excellent feedback, which is the result of a more rigid steering wheel.

CTS-V assembles all these upgrades into a cohesive and fully structured unit. From race tracks to winding roads, fluent in German as E63 is with an American-style lifestyle. It’s laid-back and luxurious when it wants it, thanks to a third-generation adaptive magnetic damper, a double-pivot front seat and a five-link back end – and stiff and flat at which angle it should be.

You may never reach the highest peak of 200 mph, but the aerodynamic add-on to the CTS-V attaches it to the ground at a better pace. The lightweight carbon light casing, the front divider, and the new bumper feed the air in and around it more smoothly. The big tire fits under the stretched fender, and the rear spoiler and rocker have been reshaped to wrap the air around the car.

2018 Cadillac CTS – V features

Left tracker and rear-view mirror cameras provide CTS-V high-tech luster. This feature includes the CUE interface, which can read tablet style motion to control navigation software, audio, phone, and Android Auto / Apple CarPlay. CUE is still annoying us with sometimes laggy performance and the screen is too sensitive, and updates will not happen in this car for another year.

OnStar is present in CTS-V which is bundled with hardware to install LTE data into the car, and to deploy wireless hotspots around it. Charging a wireless smartphone is an option, but only a few compatible phones.

CTS-V has two trick features. One borrowed from the Corvette: Performance Data Recorder that captures HD video from lap tracks and overlays it with lap times and other data. The other is a rear-view mirror camera. It captures HD video to the rear of the car and displays it in the rearview mirror, to remove blind stains. Mirrors can be turned off and can be used as conventional mirrors.

2018 Cadillac CTS – V Security

IIHS does not think much about CTS-V crash protection.
CTS-V divides its body with standard CTS, so the crash-test information is the same.

It’s not entirely good. NHTSA gives the CTS five-star sedan overall, and five stars in each category. However, IIHS offers a “Marginal” rating for small overlapping collision protection. That means there is no Top Safety Pick designation at all for this sedan.
