New For 2018

The upcoming 2018 model will share the chassis with Pilot. However, Acura also gets better gears that take advantage of better shocks and springs. It also gets better brakes than its siblings as well as larger standard wheels. All this allows MDX at this time, and maybe the upcoming 2018 model, it’s better to drive a car without losing its convenience. One of the disadvantages that we see in this car is its price is too expensive. Acura currently states that the 2017 version could have started from $ 44,000 which is actually not cheap. However, the car was well equipped, and probably worth it for those who want the luxury it offers.

2018 Acura MDX Overview

As one of the better Acura sellers, car makers are very cautious and take into account the changes that occur on MDX. In 2017, this crossover receives a comprehensive refresher that includes a new 3D diamond grille on the site of a malignant Acura beak, new lights, and a few other minor tweaks. With this recent refresher, we hope the MDX to roll 2018 is virtually unchanged.

With a new-looking body, thanks to last year’s refreshment, we did not anticipate any real visual changes. Also expected to remain unchanged is the standard exterior features. Look for the new MDX to continue with the same 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED lights, reflected mirrors, power liftgate, and more.
Inside, the upscale MDX cabins are likely to remain unchanged, although the tweaks infotainment system will be a great addition. Standard features will also be brought here, including rear privacy glass, keyless safety locks, eight-way front pads with driver-side memory, leather seats, tri-zone climate control, eight speaker system sounds and more.

Both powertrains available from MDX 2017 should be brought to 2018 without and changes. The trim powertrain will continue with a 3.5-liter V6 with 290 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel drive will be standard while the all-wheel drive will remain an option. New year 2017 is a version of Sport Hybrid that uses 3-liter V6 motor and three electric motors to produce 325 horsepower. This powertrain comes with an all-wheel drive.

Although the fresh MDX has not yet undergone full IIHS testing, the 2016 model did so, and was awarded Top Safety Pick + from the institution. Of course, this high ranking is with the optional AcuraWatch Plus Package ($ 1,393 in 2017) installed. Buyers can go further safely and add the Technology Package ($ 4,109 in 2017), which includes continuous monitoring, blind spot monitoring, rear traffic cross monitoring, and more.
